Mizrach refers to a plaque located on the eastern wall of a Jewish home. Mizrach means East, and indicates the direction Jews who are located west of Jerusalem face when praying. The eastern wall of a synagogue is also called mizrach; the Ark and the Torahs are located in front of this wall.
